This spacious air-conditioned 2nd floor penthouse apartment is situated in the unspoiled fishing village of Cabanas, 5 minutes by car from the old town of Tavira and 30 minutes drive from Faro airport.

Tastefully decorated with two bedrooms, (one with en-suite), second bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and a large lounge it sleeps 4/6 people. With two balconies and a private rooftop terrace to enjoy alfresco dining in the sunshine.

There is also a shared swimming pool below in the central courtyard.

Cabanas is a traditional fishing village, a 10 minutes walk along the palm lined roads that lead to the bay and beach. On the way you will find a good selection of bars and restaurants, serving local fish specialities at very reasonable prices.

A two minute walk to Conceicao will take you to a well stocked supermarket with a fresh meat butcher and baker counter, a pharmacy, bank and a selection of bars as well as a takeaway.

The railway station is also a 2 minute walk from the apartment from where you can travel the length of the Algarve from Vila Real, on the Spanish border, all the way to Albufeira and beyond.

Beach

The unspoilt island beach in Cabanas, Ilha de Cabanas, is 7km of beautiful white sand and perfect tranquility for sunbathers accessed by a short ride, (under 5 minutes), in a river taxi, (80 cents return).

Supervised during the peak season the beach has its own café-bar, showers and toilet facilities, sunshades to rent and water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and jet-skiing.

Golf

This area is a must for golf fans of all levels and handicaps.

  • Within a 5 minute walk is the Benamor Golf Club, (par 71), with some of the best mountain and sea views the Algarve has to offer, (a construction free course).
  • A 5 minute drive takes you to Quinta da Ria or Quinta de Cima courses, both par 72, and situated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve providing an area where the only distraction to your golf will be nature.
  • Castro Mirim and Monte Rei are 15 minutes away and there are several more courses within a 45 minute drive.

A food welcome pack can be arranged as can airport transfers - contact us for more details.

The apartment is suitable for children although parental supervision is advised when using the spiral staircase to the roof terrace. Cots/highchairs can be provided at extra cost, payable on arrival.

This apartment, which was built in 2009, is an ideal holiday base to explore, appreciate and enjoy what the Algarve has to offer.
